Examiner Reports Suite
Five report types built end-to-end, from stored procedure to UI
5 report types, used daily by tax examiners
- Built the Interest Jeopardy Report, Interest Jeopardy Report Summary, 1340, 1340_NEW, and 1341 reports end-to-end — stored procedures, row mappers, and a full controller/service/repository stack feeding a dedicated query POJO.
- Surfaced IMF/BMF status, service center, balance due/overpayment amounts, and days overdue in ERA's Reports tab, used daily by tax examiners for case review.

Schema-Driven Multi-Form Rendering Engine
React 19 / Next.js 15 form platform for high-volume processing
20+ form types, config-only onboarding
- Dynamic field visibility, conditional logic, and real-time validation driven entirely by schema — new form types ship as configuration, not code.
- Replaced a hard-coded per-form UI approach that didn't scale past a handful of form types.

Version-Aware Payload Conversion Layer
Zero-downtime compatibility across legacy and new record formats
Zero-downtime migration, full backward compatibility
- Polymorphic deserialization plus a Spring factory pattern with automatic bean detection to handle legacy and new payload versions side-by-side.
- Let the system evolve its data model without breaking existing consumers or requiring a cutover window.

Legacy Tooling Modernization (HARVEST)
30× performance gain on a critical internal tool
30× faster, 10% fewer defects
- Wrote JUnit characterization tests against the existing VBA behavior before converting a line of code — then converted 50+ modules against that suite, one at a time, with 100% functional parity and zero regressions.
- Added CI validation on top of the rebuilt tool, cutting defects by 10% and unlocking a 30× speedup for 120+ daily users.

ERINV Legacy Modernization
A legacy IDRS command code rebuilt as a compliant, accessible full-stack feature
Exact + wildcard lookup, zero PII in request URLs, 508-compliant UI
- Replicated the exact and wildcard DLN/TIN lookup behavior of a legacy IDRS command code against the ERS Control File, building the full controller/service/repository stack and testing it end-to-end.
- Used POST instead of GET, with EAG/PING authentication, to keep taxpayer identifiers out of request URLs — meeting FISMA requirements instead of the simpler query-param approach.
- Built the examiner-facing search UI (IMF/BMF, service center, DLN/TIN) in React with ARIA annotations for 508 accessibility compliance.
